BIOGRAPHY
Di Siqi
Born in 1992 in Tianjin, China; ancestral roots in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu Province. Graduated in 2016 from the Public Art School of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute with a major in Comprehensive Painting.
Di Siqi’s practice originates from cartographic and mapmaking studies, extending into geological imagery, planetary globalization, and cross-media visual experiments. By deconstructing the narrative logic of historical texts and geographic symbols, he intervenes in the multidimensional framework of globalization with fictional landscapes from human civilization, constructing cognitive topologies of intersecting temporalities while expanding the perceptual boundaries of stratigraphic formations and cosmic imagery.
His recent work focuses on the metaphorical connections between planetary globalization and geological representations, employing topological transformations of fictional toponyms, stratified mappings, and cartographic methodologies to generate new cognitive schemas that traverse materiality and conceptualism.
