Sima Yuan

Sima Yuan is an artist with dual backgrounds in science and art. She has ten years of piano performance experience and is a co-founder of Shuitou Radio. Born in Beijing, she graduated from the School of Life Sciences at Nanjing University and the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London, earning a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Arts. Her works have been exhibited at BITOWER (Voxel Metaverse), Sound Art Museum, the G21 Project at the Institute of Curatorial Studies in Venice (Italy), FORMAT International Photography Festival (UK), Kabuso Art Museum (Norway), TEDA Contemporary Art Museum, China Millennium Monument, Tianjin Art Museum, Central Saint Martins (UK), and other venues. She was selected for the interdisciplinary residency program “Wanlai Project: Art and Acoustics” at Nanjing University. Her practice spans sound, experimental theater, video, painting, text, performance, and virtual design.
