Ye Su

Zhang Fan, artist and writer known by his stage name Ye Su, was born in 1983 in Shaoxing, China. He graduated from the Experimental Art Department of the Central Academy of Fine Arts with a master’s degree in 2010, and from the Fifth Studio of the Oil Painting Department of the Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts in 2007. Ye Su often reveals obscured objects by translating fantasy and reality, while continuously initiating local projects or art residencies. His works have been exhibited in Shanghai Biennale, Goethe-Institut Beijing, Taikang Space, Beijing In-Side-Out Art Museum, Tang Contemporary Art Center, etc. His art reviews have been published in ARTFORUM, Ocula , ArtReview, Hua Kan Magazine, Peng Pai News and other professional media.
